Does reading the Bible use credits?

No. You may choose a book, then a chapter or passage, and continue through the Bible over time without using a credit. Selecting a reference and reopening saved studies also do not use a credit. Free reading is available without a payment method. Credits apply when you ask a new question or choose a deeper study action.

What are Study Credits?

A Study Credit is used when you ask LSA a new question. A Standard answer uses 1 credit, and Deep Study uses 3. The Free plan includes 6 credits every rolling 30-day window (Standard answers only). Monthly and annual LSA Study plans include exactly 20 per rolling 30-day window. Reading passages, opening the Scripture Evidence Trail, and reopening saved studies do not use a credit.

Do included Study Credits roll over?

Included credits reset every 30 days from when your account (or subscription) started, not by calendar or billing month, and do not roll over. This applies to the Free plan and to monthly and annual LSA Study plans alike. Credits bought in a separate pack stay with your account while it exists, but using them requires an active LSA Study subscription.

What Bible translations can I read?

You can currently read Berean Standard Bible in the Bible Reader. New American Standard Bible 2020 is planned for the Bible Reader and is not available yet. Side-by-side translation comparison is not offered. We plan to add more Bible translations in future updates. Have a favorite? Tell us which translation you would like LSA to consider.

What happens before I see an answer?

LSA checks that the Bible source is approved, the quoted wording matches the source, and that the answer's conclusions actually point back to Scripture. The answer should also show context and say when a question is not clearly settled.

What is the Scripture Evidence Trail?

Accepted Answer

The Scripture Evidence Trail is the full record of the checks behind an answer, open on every answer at no extra cost: which passages controlled the conclusion, which ones qualify it, which raise a real tension, and any check that could not be completed. It does not mean the answer was otherwise unchecked — every answer is already checked before you see it. LSA may clarify its own wording, but Scripture itself is never corrected.

What's the difference between Standard Study and Deep Study?

Standard Study (1 credit) gives a focused answer with key passages for most questions. Deep Study (3 credits) is chosen before you ask, to explore the question with more context and related passages. Every answer is checked before delivery, and its Scripture Evidence Trail is always open to you.

What should I ask first?

Start with a real question in your own words — a verse you don't understand, a topic, a decision, or a struggle. Standard Study is the default and uses 1 credit. Follow-up conversation is an LSA Study feature for going deeper afterward; on the Free plan you'll see an upgrade prompt in its place.

What are the limits of an AI-generated answer?

LSA uses artificial intelligence to help organize and explain Bible passages; it does not replace personal Bible reading, pastoral counsel, or the Holy Spirit's guidance. Its answers can still be wrong, which is why they are checked before delivery, with the Scripture Evidence Trail behind that check always open to you. LSA should state uncertainty rather than guessing past what the passages establish.

Does LSA favor a denomination or tradition?

No. Scripture alone is the basis for every answer — a denomination, commentary, tradition, or personal preference never outranks the Bible. When Christians disagree and the Bible does not clearly settle a question, LSA says so instead of picking a side.

Question 11

What happens to my data, memory, and privacy?

You control export and deletion of your own account and studies at any time from account settings. Personalized answers based on past studies are planned and are not active yet. Today, your saved studies and preferences stay in your account, and your notes and opinions never become evidence used in another member's answer.

What happens if a study fails or an answer can't be delivered?

Accepted Answer

If a question cannot be completed — for example a required check fails or the service is temporarily unavailable — the Study Credit for that attempt is not charged, or is automatically restored if it was already reserved. You'll see a clear message explaining what happened and whether you can retry.

How do I know the answers are trustworthy?

Trust should come from being able to read the passages and follow the reasoning, not from a hidden claim that the software is always right. LSA shows the key Bible evidence, keeps important limits visible, checks answers before delivery, and preserves earlier versions when its own explanation is clarified.

What if an LSA explanation seems wrong?

You can open the Scripture Evidence Trail behind that answer or report an answer concern. The concern can trigger a fresh look at LSA’s explanation, context, quotation, or level of certainty. A user’s preferred interpretation is never treated as proof, and one member’s opinion never changes another member’s answer.

Is this artificial intelligence?

Yes. LSA uses artificial intelligence to help organize and explain Bible passages. It is not Scripture, does not speak as God, and can make mistakes. The Bible remains the authority for the study.

Question 16

What happens if a renewal payment fails?

Accepted Answer

Your studies and account tools stay available during a 14-day grace period while payment is retried. The current 30-day window’s credits are added after payment succeeds. If it is not completed within 14 days, the account returns to the Free plan and everything you created is kept.

Question 17

What happens if I cancel?

Access continues through the end of the period you already paid for. After that, the account returns to the Free plan. Your studies remain in your account.

Are purchases refundable?

Accepted Answer

Purchases are final except where the law or the payment processor requires otherwise. Cancellation stops future renewal and does not shorten the period already paid for.

Will I be charged sales tax?

Prices are listed in U.S. dollars. When sales tax applies, it is shown during checkout before payment is completed.
